Cocoa Beach And Kennedy Space Center, Florida

After our action-packed cruise we had an easy 20 minute drive to our condo, Cape Winds, right on the beach.  For the next week, Liz, the kids, and I relaxed.  Liz and I walked a lot on the beach while Shannon and Christopher got caught up on their sleep! Liz and I enjoyed walking down to the Cocoa Beach Pier and saw the Surf fest going on during the first weekend there.  Later in the week, Liz had to fly back to Toronto and we really missed her.  Christopher and I went off to see the Kennedy Space Centre during the week and loved to ride in the space shuttle simulator!  We were there during the hype over the launch of the last Space Shuttle, the Endeavor. It was scheduled to take off on the day we drove to Orlando but unfortunately, it was postponed.  We saw lots of alligotors by the side of the road in Cape Canaveral and peacocks walking down the street near our condo...Florida is really quite an exotic location!
